Day 1
Luke 10 v 17 – 24 and Philippians 1 v 3 – 11

Vers 20 – 21
It should bring great joy, to have eternal security in Christ, but Jesus said that the Kingdom belongs to those who become like children in their belief. This has nothing to do with being childish, naive or gullible, but everything to do with the trust a child has in their parents. Children also have the ability to laugh and rejoice in the smallest of little things, especially when a parent plays with them and tickles them. May we too, find joy in the Lord’s little blessings, “always offering prayer with joy”, knowing we will not be disappointed if we put our hope in Jesus.

Day 2
Psalms 30 v 1 – 12 and Psalms 126 v 1 – 6

David is known as a man after God’s own heart (1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22) and besides his shortcomings, sets an almost perfect example of how to really “praise and worship” and give thanks to the Lord.

He rejoices in God’s favor and petitions to the Lord that He should keep him (David) and not allow for him to perish. This the Lord will indeed do, as He has done with those in captivity, should we seek His will.

Let us proclaim with joyful shouting the great things our God has done for us. Let’s be glad for the Lord has restored our soul. Let’s drink from the fountain of life, for “whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4 v 14).

Let’s pray and ask the Lord to replenish our spirit so that we will long after fellowship with Him. Amen
